How does a member of Scientology view the contemporary media that sensationalizes the beliefs of Scientology? More specifically, how has the coverage of South Park and Tom Cruise affected you? Do you find any truth or value in this media coverage?

I'm ex CofS, but I was in for a long time so I can discuss that perspective.
The media are viewed with suspicion by CofS and by Hubbard, himself, in his writings. Hubbard considered the media too quick to report bad news and to skew reports with their agenda. This is true, sometimes, human nature being what it is, but nowhere near the extent claimed by Hubbard.
