My car didn't start one morning. It isn't getting fuel. I have had a mechanic work on it and so far I have replaced the fuel pump (new), the crank sensor(used), the computer(used) and the fuel pump still doesn't get power. The mech. said there is power at the fuses/relays and the ignition switch. Do you know of anything else it could be? Or have I covered everything and maybe got some bad used parts? Thank You, Kirby

Have you checked the fuel injector? It may be clogged. Having the same issues with mine. | | Poor Taste?

I also notice strange behavior of my Lanos since we moved to Perth. If it goes, it goes as clockwork. Start - stop, no problem, but from time to time it simply refuses any cooperation with me. It won’t start in the morning. After 10 or more attempts you have to leave it for about 1/2 hour and it will start as nothing happened.
I did notice that in these moments fuel pump relay is not energized and ignition relay is dead as well. I am suspecting Central Controller (computer), but why when it is cold?
It did not happened up Central Queensland, where the temperatures where most of the time above 20C.
Any ideas?
Please!

Take out the passenger seat, remove the threshhold on the door, pull up the carpeting around the ECM. There are wire harness connections next to the ECM. For some reason the floor board gets wet and these connectors tend to corrode. Check each wire and connection. Pull on them, take the connections apart, butt splice any bad connection. That is where I found the problem. Try to wrap the connectors and isolate them from the wet floor board. I'm still trying to fix the wet floor board problem. If you do not hear the fuel pump come on when you turn the key on, and if your fuel gauge does not work when this problem occurs, it will be the orange wire on on of those harnesses.
