There is a link to a PDF file on line that lists all of the engineering schools that require the MHCET test to be taken for entrance into one of these colleges in Maharashtra.   It looks as if you have to register in January of the year that you wish to take the exam.  It said on this site that the final date to apply for this year was in March, but that January 3, 2008, was the date that people were told to apply and get their registration cards, and testing materials.  If you plan to take the test next year, and attend one of the colleges on this list, you should begin to study as soon as you possibly can.
