Everyone needs to decompress, relax and just breathe
sometimes. Even if you just take 15
minutes in your day, to do just that, you will feel so much better, any you
will be more productive when you return t o work. It is not easy to tell someone else how to
relax and have fun. For me, listening to
music is a great start toward unwinding.
On the way home from work, I turn on the classical music station, or
sometimes I listen to cool jazz. When I
get home, a warm bath helps me to unwind, and after dinner, a quiet walk in the
park, with my husband, or my friends, is just the kind of recreation that helps
to promote a good night’s sleep.
Learning to meditate, helps many people decompress from the stresses of
the real world. Some of us choose Yoga and
other forms of meditation as a recreation that is fun, but also it teaches people to take cleansing breaths
and then to let go of their tensions and frustrations. If you don’t mind a suggestion, I would say
that you should try these different types of relaxation methods, and see what
works for you as a restful form of recreation.
Some people read books on subjects that they are interested in, and
others go to see a play, or watch the History Channel to learn something
new. Our methods of recreation are as
varied as our taste in food and wine.
See what works for you, and do it as soon as possible.
