The web site twocarpros.com might be able to help you. I saw a post on their site from someone who
had strange engine noises and they said that it might be his catalytic
converter. This man had just had over
$2000 worth of repairs done on his ’97 Acura.
If you go to the site, just write a post about your problems with the
car and try to be as specific as you possibly can. For instance, is the engine warm when the
noises begin or do they occur when the engine has just been started? You said that you hear the noise when climbing
up hill, but if it happens at any other time; they might have more clues that would help them in identifying the problem. If the ONLY time
you hear the noise is when accelerating upwardly, then maybe that is all that
they need to know. If you don’t get a
response that assists you, it might be a good idea to check with the nearest
Acura dealership, in your area.

my 97 pontiac firebird v6 runs good when first started but after awhile it starts to run not so good (sputters under exceleration and stalls when at a stop) i have changed the plugs the wires are about 3 months old. i checked all the sensors and cleaned them after doing this the car ran fine for two days but then the same problem started occuring again. the security light is on and has been for a few months. | | Poor Taste?
