i am having a little problem with a 2004 Toyota Sequoia SR5 SUV features a 4.7L V8 FI DOHC 32V 8cyl Gasoline engine.

The problem that i am having is that when ever i start the engine i keep getting the TRAC light and the VSC light along with the ENGINE CHECK light come on, i went and get my self a Super Actron Auto Scanner at a local store to clear the ENGINE CHECK light which it did but after i drove around for approximately 40 minutes the light came back on.

What can i do to get the lights off the dash panel or what other check can make to solve this problem with the TRAC light / VSC light & the ENGINE CHECK light that is on the dash panel of the vehicle?

There are several potential causes, the most likely of which is the gas cap not being turned past two clicks as instructed.  Make sure your gas cap is fully tightened, have the code cleared (either with a code reader or by disconnecting the battery).  Then start back up, and see if the code reappears, making sure your gas cap is tight after each fillup, and your engine is off whenever refuelling.

The above is the most likely cause, however it could also be an oxygen sensor, air-fuel sensor, or vacuum hose leak or disconnected.
