We recently started up a 340 in a Dart Swinger and are experiencing low oil pressure. The engine was in a 20 year storage after being rebuilt (with a new oil pump) our observation indicates the left bank is oiling to the top of the heads but the right bank is not. Put a new oil pressure gauge on and we get 40lbs. at start up and then it dips down to zero. Found a leak at the oil filter and will flush and drain a couple of times, drop the pan to look for blockage to the oil pick up tube, etc... Has anyone experienced this and what was done to solve the problems? Help our Operation Dart Swinger 340 --OB1 you're our only hope!
