Is there a tourism ban to Mexico? There seem to have been alot of publisized crime aimed at tourists. Should I be concerned about booking an all inclusive in Acapulco?

Mexico was considering lifting its ban on pot, heroin, and
cocaine use. What a nightmare for anyone
who visits with an idea of having a great time, as it relates to safety issues. Imagine the kinds of people that Mexico will
be attracting now? Why would any country
do such a thing? Is it a pretty
place? Yes, if you mean climate,
beaches, nice Hotels, and atmosphere.
Is it safe to walk the streets there?
I don’t think they will be doing themselves or their tourism industry
any favor by allowing people to use and abuse all of that dope. Mexico already has a big problem with gang
violence. Now add to that mix, this leniency
on drugs and you have a huge social problem.
Until or unless the Mexican government takes a tough stand on drugs and
all illegal activity, I don’t recommend a visit to that environment, any time
soon.
