How can it possibly be immoral to wear fur? Man has worn it for a million years or so and now suddenly its wrong? What rubbish. The result of urban people alienated from nature. The ironic thing is that it is THEY who have caused the real damage to nature by using resources wastefully and supporting synthetics which are made from petro chemicals which destroy nature from extraction to transport to manufacture to disposal.
The idea that fur was immoral was the brainchild of PETA...and their credibility after this should be ruined:

So those of you who still think fur is wrong maybe should heed the words of conservationsists who now point out that fur trade as a human economic activity actually PROTECTS animal habitats.
The Canadian Fur Council is headed by Paula Lishman the designer whose husband Bill Lishman is a famous conservationist and friend to animals. They have prepared this which should make you antis wake up:

Since an animal cares not if it is killed for meat or fur there is no possible distinction so only vegans have any ethical case against fur. And a completely Vegan society would require massive increase in intensive agriculture (the kind that has eradicated 60% of british songbirds) and petroleum producton and exploitation of non renewable rsources. In the long run this is worse for animals....just look at the wholesale destruction of rainforst for soya production in Argentina...it has exterminated the Jaguar.
So wake up and realise that fur is the future....and while we use animals we protect them like the proverbial shepherd. And just like the shepherd, we must also ensure good animal welfare....which unlike battery farmed chickens is practised on fur farms. You cannot produce high quality fur without looking after the animals very well. Also remember that often (eg rabbit nuria beaver) the meat from fur bearers is eaten by humans and in the case of mink and fox eaten by pets). A fifth of furs are producd by native peoples who use everything, often fur is all they have to trade, and their way of life protects nature far better than urban westerners lifestyle does.
so stop boyctting fur and instead boycott PETA and the evil of animal rights ideology which is rooted in Nazism
