For the true aficionado of luxury and elegance, it is well known that the world’s finest rugs are made entirely of pure silk. The unique quality of a fine silk rug is matched only by its breathtaking beauty.

On another post, I was saying that a lot of work goes into
caring for these beautiful works of art.
There is no denying that these rugs are elegant. You cannot find the colors just anywhere,
because the Chinese use special dyes that were created thousands of years ago,
and are truly rare and magnificent. The
knots per square inch average about 625 and up, so you know that they were made
with loving care. They are durable, but
you cannot put them in direct sunlight, or they will fade, and you can’t put
them in a dark space, or moths will have them for lunch. If a pet makes a stain, its going to be there
because you can’t use harsh chemicals to
clean them. If you vacuum the rug you
have to use the suction part of the sweeper only not the rotating brush action
part. However, even though you must
take great care of these rugs, they do have the craftsmanship and quality to
last for generations.
