Are you a traveler? If so, maybe you've heard of the Marfa (TX) Mystery Lights. These lights have been in existence since the early 1800's and maybe longer, documented way back. Situated approximately 18 miles east of Marfa, Tx. These starnge and colorful lights seem to float in mid air and follow no particular path. Some say they are sprits of indians long dead and another legend of the nearby WWII base that exists no more, except for the concrete foundations. There has been numerous TV doumentaries made and they are websites on this topic. A newly built viewing area has been built along the roadsie complete with viewing telescopes, it's a tourists trap that is either pleasing or frustrating since these kights are not always visible every night.

You must be referring
to the lights that people say appear in the desert sky, at night, in Texas. I read that they are located near a Mountain
range, the Chianti, in West Texas. Every
night, just about sundown, people say that they see what appears to be
flickering yellow lights, moving in random patterns in the sky. For years, and years, people have been
speculating about what causes this phenomenon.
We saw them once, and my father said that it must be car lights from
some highway in the distance that could not be seen from that angle of
view. Many of the other tourists were
listening to the locals who said that these lights began to appear when the Indians
still inhabited the region back in 1883.
People ask why no one has ever tried to investigate where the origin of
these lights is located. The locals just
enjoy the tourists and seem content to let the mystery of the Marfa lights
remain unsolved.
