You must be referring to the lights that people say appear in the desert sky, at night,  in Texas.  I read that they are located near a Mountain range, the Chianti, in West Texas.  Every night, just about sundown, people say that they see what appears to be flickering yellow lights, moving in random patterns in the sky.  For years, and years, people have been speculating about what causes this phenomenon.  We saw them once, and my father said that it must be car lights from some highway in the distance that could not be seen from that angle of view.  Many of the other tourists were listening to the locals who said that these lights began to appear when the Indians still inhabited the region back in 1883.   People ask why no one has ever tried to investigate where the origin of these lights is located.  The locals just enjoy the tourists and seem content to let the mystery of the Marfa lights remain unsolved.
