Hi ..
I had a foxie kelpie cross. In the last 4 years of her spoilt life she became bad with arthritis and especially during winter.. (< I used my grandmother's treatments she would use if any of the family memebers where stiff in hip or knee joints even chilblanes and gout when grandda had it . > She would steam the outer cabbage leaves till they were soft but still firm and then put into a hand towel and then treat the 'sore' area. Some time she would do it twice a day.... OH the relief was superb...I use to get gemini to lie on my lap on top of a hot towel and then put another on top of her and then I would spend a good 20 mins quality and talking rubbish to her while she was resting... I believe it made a difference. In fact it was on my lap that she passed away at 15 years 9 months on 14 June 2007....
I now have a wee 9 week old chihuahua who I carry most of the time in a body bag or her own travel handbag when in the car....
