In the never-ending search for the great epic story I have only recently stumbled across the works of GRRM. Perhaps I have graduated/developed my tastes to an extent acceptable for reading such a book series. But first I would like to mention another series by another author, Bernard Cornwell. Though more commercial than quality are many of Cornwell's latter works The Winter King is among his best, though shortest of Cornwell's series. Yet there seems to be less talk about this Arthurian trilogy than Cornwell's more commercial Sharpe Series, which showcases the Napoleonic Wars. So let me take a moment to say that the Winter King is a spectacular three part series. Read it or find it on audiobook. The audiobook is phenomenal (see Narrator David Case).
I look forward to hearing any further comments from other readers of this series.
