Asburypark has a lot going on that is positive.  They have a web site that you might want to check out: http://www.cityofasburypark.com/.  Also, on the asburyboardwalk.com, they are talking about the work that is being done to restore Asburypark to the beautiful destination that it once was.  They have a Historical District and good restaurants.  Like with all things, Asbury Park had its moments of greatness and then a slow decline.  It sounds like it might be in the middle of being restored right now.  I know that Cookman Ave is called the new downtown.  There are new condos and restaurants in the area.  The Paramount Theater has been redone already along with The Empress Hotel.  There is a new casino.  It sounds like this would be a good time to be there, and of course, if you buy property, the value will increase very soon.  It’s good that they have a plan in place and that restoration is underway.  I believe in New Jersey.  They have been through a lot and they're coming back!
