Football is defined as two teams of eleven players, who
enter a playing field that is clearly marked, and is about 100 yards long, with
a goal at each end. The object of the
game is to move the ball in the direction of the other team’s goal, by running
or passing, or throwing it and hoping the right person catches the ball, for a
score. Seems logical enough, and sounds
fairly simple. What happens then on any
given day, when one set of eleven team members puts on ONE COLOR; and the OTHER
TEAM MEMBERS put on ANOTHER COLOR, and they begin the game. All rational thinking attaches itself to a
huge force or energy, and this is not just a game, it’s a monumental
event! Even the onlookers which by
another name, are known as fans, get engulfed in feelings that might best be
described as “frenzy”. If you come from
another country, football for you might be what we call soccer. However, the mind set is still the same. The definition makes sense, but put on the
colors, blow the whistle, start the interaction, and the game becomes an all-consuming,
passionate experience, which we all LOVE.
