Hi there, Alarm Force is very aggressive with their ad campaigns. They tend to infer a police endorsement of their services which should be a little more defined in my opinion. Their radio ads used to say "the alarm force central station ... .. the police have been dispatched" and then the word police had to be removed from their ads. Why??? Now Alarm Force continues to infer police endorsement in their ads, what police forces endorse alarm force specifically and what statistics are they getting this information from. they claim two way voice communication is a verification service preferred by police. Where is this statistic from? FYI for those looking into alarms and residential home security systems, police are not notified until the alarm company confirms it is in fact a valid alarm, usually by calling numbers on the key holder list. Once its determined the alarm is valid, then the police agency servicing the area may get the call. Then the alarm call gets put into priority sequence and the police will attend. There is long delay between the tripping of the alarm to the point police ever arrive if they get the call. So catching the burglar is very rare because the alarm yelping/siren scares them off. Joel Matlin's claim "you are wasting your money if its not two way voice communication" is very self serving, getting an alarm system for your home is a good security investment whether its alarm force or not. make sure when you buy a home security system find out how many door contacts are included, motion detectors, battery life. Anyone else have any comments about alarms and any statistical information from where alarm force gets their police preferred verification status? thanks for the info alarm shopper and comparison
