After hurricane katrina, I signed a contract with Alice Torry to repair my home. Rather than replacing damaged materials, Torry Specialties nailed the damaged materials back on to my house. I had to tear out and repair the shoddy work performed by Torry. This incident has forced me to withdraw from my retirement account. My attorney has told me since this is a contract issue, I can not sue for attorney fees. Thank goodness Mandeville did not elect Alice Torry. My home is still not up to current building codes or completely repaired since Torry damaged more than they repaired. I was not shocked to see the tactics Alice used in her campaign. Your statement that she has done nothing to improve the community is correct. I learned first hand that Alice Torry does not have the best interests of the community at heart because she is too consumed with what she can get out of the community for her personal gains and recognition. |

Working with Alice Torry was a joke.
Her ideas to fight for rights and changes in our community are foolish.
Here is an example of her ideas; Torry believes that career goaled
classes dealing with computers and technology should be reduced as well
as test preparation classes for toilet plumbing!
I let her talk about her beliefs but started getting tired of hearing
the same thing everyday. How she has been a "contractor for 15 years"
and how she makes millions selling toilet stalls!
OK i get it now! no wonder you want more plumbers to come out of high school in St. Tammany parish!
what's the point of graduating high school if your goal is to be a
toilet plumber! good luck to those plumbers taking care of a family
with that kind of income!
on break using my cellphone for important business, Alice starts to get
in my face with no respect and calls me stupid for not caring about her
opinions about political issues going on in her head. I try not to let
it bother me and continue to use my cellphone ignoring the tone of
voice that she uses. I realize there is nobody else around but this
older fellow that's 78 years old who tags along with her train of
thought and calls me stupid for not caring about what shes talking
about and states "how did you make this far in life that stupid" and
that is like verbally assassinating! i'm sick of how you two are
treating me, leave me alone, stop disrespecting me. Torry gets
realllllly close to my face (i smell her cigarette breath and want to
gag looking at her caked makeup that i timed taking her 20minutes to
put on while in her mustang in the parking lot @ work!) and says "you
dont deserve any respect" x 3 and then i say can you get out of my
face, torry says no you get the F*$K out of my face and don't ever come
back here b*&#H, I will destroy you, you will wish you were never
born."
wow, you know i was walking away FAST hoping she was chasing me still
down the hallway, i thought she was going to swing her arms at me!
I quit that day, I didn't lose my job, she isn't my boss, her boss is
my boss in this case,but since i didn't want to argue with her i felt
that i had to quit and stay far far away from Alice Torry!
She acts like what she does is for the better, but then why does she
support her underage son, who's 20yrs old now,in his foolish acts of
drinking underage and going to the french Quarter so often to the point
where he isn't asked for identification anymore! how does he drink?
torry stated that her son brings his alchohol with him in a trash bag!
I ask, so you're telling me he drinks and drives often? Torry explains,
"no he walks since he lives so close" Mandaville is not close to the
Quarter, and the UNO dorms aren't walking distance to the bars off
bourbon st. either!
thinking about another story, Alice Torry also thinks she is a model
and deserves only good looking friends! So don't ask for her
contracting or friendship is your not "model material."
She may cut you
down hard and hurt your feelings with no regret. She stated to me,"see
here in the south, pretty southern girls only believe in having pretty
friends" then she goes into how fine her son is and how every girl
wants him especially after he pierced his nipples while he was still in
high school! She claims that even her older matured friends want her
son so bad that they rip his shirt off to play with his nipple rings if
they can find the chance to do so!
I ADVISE ALL HUMANS TO STAY AWAY FROM ALICE TORRY, SHE IS EVIL!!!!!!!!!!
