This is for a heart baby wash cloth.
Row 1: With red ch 2, work 3 sc in second chain from hook;
ch 1, turn. (mark as RS row)
Row 2: work 2 sc in first st, sc in next st, 2 sc in
next st; ch 1, turn. (5 sc)
Row 3: work 2 sc in first st, sc in each remaining st
to last st; work 2 sc in last st; ch 1, turn. (7 sc)
Row 4: sc in each st across; ch 1, turn. (7 sc)
Row 5: work 2 sc in first st, sc in each remaining st
to last st; work 2 sc in last st; ch 1, turn. (9 sc)
Row 6: work 2 sc in first st, sc in each remaining st
to last st; work 2 sc in last st; ch 1, turn. (11 sc)
Row 7: sc in each st across; ch 1, turn. (11 sc)
Row 8: work 2 sc in first st, sc in each remaining st
to last st; work 2 sc in last st; ch 1, turn. (13 sc)
Row 9- 16: sc in each st across; ch 1, turn.
Row 17: (RS) sc in first 6 sts, ch 1, turn. (We will now
only be working with these 6 sts)
Row 18: sc dec over first 2 sts, sc in next 2 sts, sc dec
over last 2 sts. (4 sts)
Row 19: sc dec over first 2 sts, sc dec over last 2 sts.
Fasten off. (2 sts)
With RS facing skip next st after the 6 sts worked above,
join red with sl st in next st, ch 1, work sc in same st as
joining and sc in next 5 sts; ch 1, turn. (6 sts)
Repeat rows 18 and 19.
Attach red with sl st in bottommost point of heart (Point A in
Fig 1). Work sc in each st to one st BEFORE point B. (see fig 1)
Point B is the unworked sc that is between the 2 upper parts of
the heart.
Work sc dec over next 3 sts. To do this draw up a loop in the next
3 sts, yo and draw through all 4 sts on hook.
Work sc in side of each st down side back to point A; join with sl
st to first st; fasten off.
Attach white with sl st in same st as last st worked; sc in each
st around; join with sl st to first st; DO NOT FASTEN OFF.
Using FLO sl st in first st, ch 1, *sl st in next st, ch 1; repeat
from * around; join with sl st to first st; fasten off.
Weave in all ends.
