You probably have the body type called “Ectomorph”which
means that you have trouble putting on weight or keeping muscle mass. A lot of people would envy you because they
have the opposite problem. Lots of sites
on the internet say that you have to eat everything like meat, peanut butter,
starches like potatoes, and foods that
are high in carbohydrates, while doing weight lifting to build muscle
mass. At GNC and other health food
stores, they have all kinds of products to help you gain weight. If I were you, I would want to make these
changes in the healthiest way possible.
For me, the answer would be to talk to a nutritionist about how your
high metabolism – body type, can gain weight in a healthy way. Then, if you don’t want a personal trainer,
you could get advise from the local gym
about how to life weights correctly; and how to do it incrementally,so that you
do not tear muscles. Remember that every
muscle group that you work one day at the gym, needs to rest the next day, so
you don’t suffer muscle tears or strains.
Any professional trainer will want you to have positive results. Be careful not to believe that there is some
miracle fix that you eat or drink for instant muscle mass. Steroid use can kill you, or make your blood
pressure go through the roof. Set
realistic goals, and check out what these guys have said. http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20071010135335AAMBs2E
