what is the significance of hospices using butterflies as their identifying logo?
|
The butterfly for hospice care givers; represents the
transformation of the spirit as it reaches the end of its cycle of living, and
becomes free to take flight in a spiritual world. As a person passes away, they do let go of
all of the burdens here on earth; pain, suffering, feelings of helplessness,
and of course, fear. If you believe in
heaven, or that there is a spirituality that takes the place of the body, after
death, then the butterfly is the symbol of that kind of boundless freedom that
you can expect to feel, when you reach that point in your existence, the point
when your earthly existence ends.
"Butterflies are free".
