John Norman and the” Gor Books”, is what you are referring to, in this post?  His name is really John Lange and he did earn a Doctor of Philosophy Degree at Princeton.  I read a few of his books for a class I took about the popular writings of the 1980’s authors.  Most of what I read had male dominate characters and the females of these books were little more then maids, slaves and robots.  I remember that his books were considered to be about life in a “natural order” where the stronger gender is the predominant one, and the other gender lives to serve his needs.  These books were black listed in the late 1980’s and now they have popped up on the internet as e-books.  These books contain bondage and are completely sexual in nature.   I just don’t see the social relevance??  He does not discuss this thinking as it applies to happy home lives or the family dynamic.  Perhaps, as some readers have suggested, this is just an over-active imagination at work, and nothing more.
