why wigs came back in '60
|
Wigs came back in style in the 1960’s because everyone
wanted to have the amazing hairstyle that Farah Fawcett had, with the flip
front and long thick straight locks. It
was a difficult style to copy but it was so popular that everyone wanted to
have it and to look just like Farah. It
was easy and affordable to buy the new fun fashion wigs that had copied her
look; tuck your hair up underneath, and you are all ready to go. Also, during the 60’s there was a trend to
wear these acrylic wigs in colors that matched your outfit. Pink, purple, bright yellow and red wigs were
worn with pride and considered very stylish for about three years, which is
considered to be a “life-time” in the fashion world.
