I'm developing a college course in "shattering stereotypes: the new woman." Any ideas that have worked where ou teach?

I don’t teach now, I did, but many of us got pink-slipped in
the last two years. One stereotype that
I would love to see imploded would be woman in construction, or architecture. Woman are as creative and innovative as men,
and they can design bridges and tall buildings, lay tile and toe-nail floor
boards, read blue prints, and think outside of the box in all kinds of manly
man jobs. Two of my suddenly available
fellow teacher/friends, have started their own
“handy-wo-man” business, and they are swamped with calls from aging
baby-boomer's who can’t get down on all-fours anymore and need help. When they answer the phone to speak to a
perspective client, they always have to explain that yes they are women, but
they CAN DO a great job. Woman can do
what they need to do to make a living.
This is a fact that must be celebrated.
Teaching young woman that there is no wall in the way, that can’t be
moved, is very important.
