The word “MOD” means modern and MOD- Fashion was very popular in the 1960’s.Mod clothing is always very bright colors.  The patterns are geometric, triangular, or stripped, with exaggerated detailing like huge buttons and bright stitching.  Sleeves are usually three- quartered and jackets are cropped.  The shoes are chunky and the skirts are very short, or just below the knee.  Mod came back again in the 1980’s and all that changed about it was that more metallic fabrics were used in jackets and coats, and the make up changed a little bit to black mascara placed on both the bottom and top lashes, and white lipstick.  Peace signs are always worn by MOD Fashionista’s.   Today, Mod is back.  Skirts are short, metallic’s are popular, cropped jackets have been back for three years; very bright colors are back too. Some say that fashion repeats itself every twenty years.  Mod proves that theory to be true.
