If you get into a pattern of eating this way,
your body will begin to do what is called “accommodation”. This means that your body adjusts to using
those specific calories and, at first, will try to use that amount of energy
intake to sustain your original weight.
The body goes into “life-saving” mode when it is robbed of necessary
caloric intake. As you continue the
process, the weight will start coming off.
First, you will lose water-weight that the body has stored. This weight would go back on in a New York
minute, if you resumed your old eating patterns. Then, because you are exercising, you will
begin to lose pounds at a rate of about half a pound every few days. If you want to succeed in your effort to lose
weight; it would be better for your body and promote a healthier lifestyle for
you, if you eat small amounts more often.
Breakfast is so important, that you might want to, once in awhile, add a
cereal that is “heart-smart”, to be sure that you are getting the nutrients you
need for good health. The meal you have
at noon could be broken up into two small meals, without gaining weight, and it
is best not to make your body feel as if it’s starving, when you go from noon
until the next morning without nutrition. It puts a great stress on your heart.
