For me fun is getting a group of friends together to find something in the community that needs some fixing up, and then finding sponsors, and ways to raise the money to get materials and do the work.  In the past, we have had two occasions to help clean up the small stream that runs through our town and the down river to another city.  You would be amazed at what we found in the stream.  Another time we rehabbed a playground at the oldest school in our community; and then returned another time, after raising funds, and had the gym floors refurbished.  Now, we want to do something for the fire station, which is in serious need of a make-over in the living area, upstairs.  This weekend will be our first fund raiser.  It’s a garage sale and whatever does not sell, will be donated to charity.  If you feel bored and want to do more with your free time, look around and see where you can make a difference.  You will have fun, and you will feel wonderful.
