I am a human being, a citizen, a mother, a friend, a
volunteer, a Democrat, an optimist, and a realist. The people in my life describe me as a
striver, who thinks that they have to save the world. I was like that for a long time. People that came from my generation, in the
60’s, believed in getting involved and making a difference. Today, I find that many generations have
felt the very same way. When I was young
I thought that it was only my own age group that was enlightened, caring and
free. I am proud to be where I am, doing
what I am doing, and hopefully, making my own imprint on this place and the
people I care about. I have learned all
of these things about myself from the people who are in my life. Recently, I have had time to listen to my own
inner voice and take stock of what I have done, where I am, and finally, what I
want to do in the future. We all need to
stop….just for a moment and ask ourselves, as you just did , “Who are YOU?
