You are right about Obama, in my opinion.  I could not make up my mind about him.  He is so articulate and well educated and I thought that he was well meaning and sincere.  However, the more he talked and debated with Hillary Clinton and the others, even at the beginning, he seemed a little too smooth and rehearsed.   His lawyer training at Harvard would account for that, so I thought that I should keep an open mind and listen more often and with greater attention to the words, not just the phrases.  I was about to embrace his candidacy, when he made that slip of the tongue among his elite peers, and implied that poor and struggling people rely on guns and religion to get through a frustrating life.  He thought that his conjecture was not being overheard by the media.  I think that he spoke condescendingly and that he meant it.  Of course, this is just one slip, I suppose, but it spoke volumes to me.  I am done giving support to this person.
