A “proper” anorexic would be a person who is frightened of
gaining weight. Therefore, this person
would weigh themselves many times a day, starve, exercise excessively, never
eat more than 300 calories a day or less; and never be able to eat anything without
worrying that they are overweight and must purge with regularity. Some anorexic’s abuse laxatives, and others
binge and then purge. The grim reality
is that these people are starving themselves to death. I don’t think that there is a “proper” way to
starve yourself. There are many ways to
ruin your health, destroy your future, and throw away every ounce of potential
for happiness that you ever had; but none of these activities is considered”
proper”. This behavior is anti-social,
anti-life and has a seriously ugly ending.
