I saw something about a science of mind prayer for a sick pets, recently.  It was described as a "laying on of “hands” kind of prayer.  After reading about it, I was thinking that if a person really wants to help their pet, they would get it every kind of proper medical help and pray, in what ever way they feel the greatest connection to the higher power, for its full recovery. " Laying on of hands" seems like something that would be reserved for a priest or pastor.  It would be presuming a lot for me to think that anyone would be able to assume a position of this kind of higher calling, through some form of mental exercise.   Some people do have a calling or believe strongly that they do; but I do not know anyone with that kind of healing inclination.  If your pet is ill and this is the only recourse you have, try it.
