Any moms willing to help me with a project about moms who made the transition from working at a job to working at home. I will include your story in an ebook I'm compiling along with a link to your site - or any other type of advertisement you want. Let's help other moms by sharing our stories! See my Squidoo lens on the topic. Thanks! http://www.squidoo.com/quittingyourJOBandworkingatHome

Hi, I was an Antique Appraiser for seven years and quit my job to be a stay at home mom, then became a stay at home mom/Tupperware Lady. It's never a dull moment around here. LOL

Most moms who quit their job to work from home do so initially to take care of their children and not necessarily to work from home. However, after a while at home, they start to think about earning a part time income from home. They begin to search online for any legitimate work at home jobs. A lot of times, there are so many scams, it is hard to sift through it. I have found that writing is the most common work at home job that is usually not a scam and a lot of writing jobs can be found online. Data entry and typing jobs are mostly scams especially envelope stuffing. Most of these companies ask for money up front, but why pay money to make money in a work at home job? Only if you are doing business from home, would you pay a start up fee. So watch out for those scams out there because there are many.
