Here's a book I came across recently and I thought others would love to read it.

The first few chapters are of the authors childhood and up until he is drafted into the army. Once his training is completed he is then shipped to Viet Nam where the chaos begins.

Drafted is filled with lots of war gore, rough language, action, adventure, heartbreak and laughs.  It is not for the squemish. The author even added in some never before seen pix.

Drafted, by William C. Stodgel, may be purchased online at Amazon.com, Barnes and Nobels and all over the internet. Paperback price is $16.95 and hard cover is $24.95 depending on where purchased.

If you love a great war story loaded with action and has terrific entertainment value in it, then you will want to read this one.

I'd have to rate it a 10 for excellent!  It's an awesome book and the author put in a lot of visual discriptions.

My husband read this book because his boss still has flash-backs of the horror that was the Viet Nam War.  My husband travels with his boss, and often this man will break out in a cold sweat, in the middle of a meeting, because of some unexpected sound of a car backfiring or a loud unexpected, noise from somewhere in the environment.  The war happened so long ago, and yet it may as well have been yesterday, for so many of our veterans.  People have no idea what these fine men and women of the military suffered back in the day, when fighting was so often, hand to hand, and the Geneva Rules of  warfare did not apply in the jungles of those provinces.  Want to know what they endured?  Read this book.  Thank you for posting because we all need to remember that ‘freedom is NOT free’.
