Every spring the fashion industry chooses their top, usually
ten, colors for the season and publicizes it so that followers of fashion will
be in the loop on what is in or out, and have expectations that are realistic
about what will be available in their local stores and on the net. The spring report for 2008 reflects a fresh
approach to color that is uplifting and simple pretty. The top ten colors for this season according
to one report that I saw are:
Daiquiri Green, a slightly lighter version of the yellow green
that was popular last year, Freesia….yellow
with a pop, Croissant, a pale but silvery beige, Rococo Red, vibrant
and easy to accessorize, Silver…shimmering and lovely, Golden Olive,
Croissant, which is a lively
beige-brown, Snorkel Blue, which is a sky-blue reflection, Spring
Crocus-purple that is easy to wear and pale, and Cantaloupe which is
a pale peach with some sheen to it. Of
course, colors change with the seasons, but this year, the colors are more
wearable for everyone of every age, then I have seen in a long time.
