what is the current population of rhode island?
|
The U.S.
Census Bureau says that the population of Rhode Island as of July 1, 2007, is
1,057,832. It is so small that it ranks
43rd out of Fifty States. The
entire State only occupies about 1,545 square miles, and therefore the
population is very dense, or in other words there is not a lot of space. The largest city is Providence. It is called the “Ocean State” and nearly one
tenth of its inland area is covered by salt water. Every part of the entire state is no more
then thirty minutes from the water. It
is the smallest of all the states in America.
