To get the survey information that you need, have you ever gone to http://www.pcworld.idg.com.au/index.php/taxid;2136213063 because they have almost every conceivable kind of information on what games are selling and to how many people.  Everything you need to know, numbers, who, what and how often is on that site.  They review all the games; have sub categories for media releases, Interviews, and the latest news.  They would also have information on the games console.   Another survey I saw that was conducted in 2007, can be seen at this site http://arstechnica.com/news.ars/post/20070809-report-gamers-largely-clueless-about-next-gen-console-media-capabilities.html.  They asked question of over 6,260 people, ages 14-40, I think, and got some pretty interesting responses.
