There are so many gray areas with regard to Workman’s Comp and injured employees getting a fair amount of pay for lost income and medical expenses.   I know that Workman’s Comp does not pay for some Federal Workers at all, like Postal Carriers, and I wondered how that is fair.  Some articles that I read stated that there was so much abuse going on between the physicians who try to please the employer at the expense of the employee, and those who give out too much medication, without reassessing the problem for the sake of this suffering person.  Workman’s Comp representatives say that pain is hard to assess, and treatments vary, so their guidelines have to be determined by a standard of what is reasonable and necessary.  How they determine those two factors, is anybodys guess and widely disputed.
