There is a web site called Country Reports.org that has comparisons of every aspect of life in every region of just about every country in the world.  This site compares and contrasts fashion, population, governments, geography, and even customs and cultures.   All you do is get a username and password to get a free sample of the content of this site.   There may be a small fee to join, but if you have to do a lot of this kind of investigatory work for school, or for product and market research, I think it would be worth it to have all of this information at your fingertips whenever you need it.
