Heath Ledger was a true artist.  His sensitivity showed through in every role that he played.   I read that in his early years, his parents divorced and he was shuffled back an forth between his dad’s home and his mom’s , and got used to never really being in one place for very long.  His hometown of Perth, Australia, was really remote and quiet.  He got into dramatics in Junior High and loved it.  When he moved to Sidney for more opportunities in his teens, he got a job in television right away.   He came to the U.S. for more opportunities and took acting roles that called for “pretty boy” looks, at first to get established, but he always wanted to be challenged and to grow as an actor.  He was just getting to do the work he really loved when he died.  What a loss for his family, his tiny daughter, and every one who appreciates true talent.
