Sex Offenders Rules are Wrong!

Why do we keep spending money to protect children from sex offenders who have been convited and done there time.  They are the least likely to reoffend.  The problem is not ALL sex offenders, more so those you don't know, but those closest to you and your family.

Studies have shown that these kinds of offenders are habitual.  They repeat and repeat these acts because they need help.  Some get help in the prison system but many others do not.  Now with the internet, these predators of children, have greater opportunity to reach kids, then ever before, and this is why funds must be spent to pay for Cyber sleuthing.  Catching predators online is a job that the police do very well, however, this crime occurs so often that increases in personnel are necessary.  Costs are rising, but we cannot ignore the problem.  These predators were probably victims themselves, but they need to get psychological help.  The children are our future, and they must be protected.  People do not go to prison and get rehabilitated very often, no matter what they did to break the law.  The prisons are over-populated and there is very little funding to give people job skills, or therapy.  These are very serious problems that society must confront and solutions must be found.  Our children are every countries greatest resource.

its crazy to say that sex offenders are not likly to reoffend, as guest 42 say's, sex offenders are habitual creatures. If we were to ignor the people we already know have commited this kind of offence we would be putting our children at risk.

If it were the case that we had a justice system that dealt with rehabilitation instead of just incarceration you may have a case for your arguement, however , this is clearly not the case, as a struggling and underfunded prison service are encouraged to release prisoners early to ease overpopulation.If it were the case that all sex offenders were rehabilitated before release from prison and the public could be confident on that fact then we would have no need for monitoring 

You have clearly put no thought into your statement. Yes, there will always be a risk from undetected sex offenders, but how exactly should we protect ourselves, nobody suspects their best friend or family member of this kind of peverted act.

P.S "the problem is not ALL sex offenders" , just wondering what this is all about, which sex offenders are not a problem???
