I was given a beautiful, large, red chinese lantern. I do not know the best place to hang it in my living room. Please help.

In Feng Shui a red lamp shade was used in a living room space
to bring fame to the person. Also, a red
lantern was placed in the hallway to bring energy and light to the space. Today, wall sconces and red glass are used
for this purpose. You could place the
red lantern in a corner that has nothing in it, if your room is an irregular
shape and you want to maintain a good energy level or chi. Feng Shui realizes that where lighting is placed directly effects the mood of
the people in the room. If you want a feeling of harmony, place the lantern
where it will not cause shadows to fall across the activity that you are
involved with ,and light the candle in the lantern to cast a yellowish color
flame for calmness. Accent lighting like this lantern ,is said to
soften the sharp edges of the room ,creating a good flow of energy and making
the environment more peaceful.
