Hello,
Just because your dog is sired by a champion does not make him "special" sorry to sound blunt but if you were to research into all pedigree dogs you will find that 95% are sired by a Championwith good background bloodlines. As for people coming up with a price, The more a dog wins at shows i.e challange certificates, best of breeds group placings and best in shows to name afew, (championship shows are the ones that your dog will get noticed at if he is good) and to get say a best of breed at a championship show you will usualy have to beat an average of 40dogs (sometimes double or more if it is a popular breed or a breed specific judge)of your one breed-in your case Longhaired dachshund.
Once your dog is doing well at shows you also will have to have him health screened, eye tested etc to make sure he is Physically up to breeding standard(i am not sure on small breed dogs what all tests they need, but in large breed dogs they need to be hip scored and that costs in the region of £150 and £200) then once you have your results for all your tests the kennel club will hold them on record fir other people who may wish to use your stud they can research into his health and show career etc. This is how your stud fee will then be determind also by talking to other breeders about how well your dog has done they can help you. but if you are just into breeding to earn pocket money i would not recomend this as there are already too many unwanted dogs in the world 2day with health problems because someone never bothered getting them health checked and just wanted to earn a quick buck because there dog has "papers"
