is the malaria vacination, necessary, for one that goes to Botswana for the first time?
|
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention say that if
you are going to travel to Botswana, you should take the Malaria Vaccine, and
other preventative medicines as long in advance as at least six weeks. They also state that you should not go bare
foot when you are in Botswana, for your own safety. The CDC also recommends that you visit a
doctor who specializes in Travel Medicine, so that you learn how to protect
yourself from other illnesses and injuries, while you are away from home. If you want even more information on how to
prepare for this trip, please use this link and see what else the CDC suggests,
for your safety and well being. http://wwwn.cdc.gov/travel/destinationBotswana.aspx
