Did you ever figure out your reset switch?  I have had issues with my 1999 jaguar, they say it's the security system..  I have had it into the dealership twice.  Occasionally the car will not start, they have replaced the incisor ring, the starter and something else.  They say they have never seen this before, at the jaguar dealership.  I was just stuck for twenty minutes before it started..

The car is in mint condition and don't have any other issues with it.  I heard something about the valet button and possibly to reset the system.  I have a call into my advisor at the dealership.

Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.
